Following our announcement early August for vacant volunteer positions through the news item https://gyla.net/news/310808, we are happy to announce further that we received a good number of applications for the available slots and have put together the following executive committee to run GYLA operations in Kenya through 2020/2021.

Jambo, I am Mercy Murigi.

I am a student at the University of Nairobi and an AiduAlumni of the 2014 class. I am honored to have been shortlisted for the role of GYLA Kenya National coordinator at Aiducation International Kenya. My vision is to work for GYLA and its members to realize the full potential of the platform by creating attainable goals and consistently lead the team with integrity, humility and honest communication. I look forward to mentor and be mentored as I develop my team, all the while creating a respectful, enjoyable, and professional working environment for my colleagues. My name is Bill Orangi.

I am a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and an AiduAlumni of the year 2018. I am honored to have been selected to volunteer in the role of GYLA Kenya Blogs and Articles Coordinator and my vision for the role is to explore the wide field of writing and research and create an impact to the Aidu family with relevant written media.

I am a student at the Kenya Medical Training College and an AiduAlumni of the year 2017. I am honored to have been shortlisted for the role of GYLA Kenya Jobs Board Coordinator and my vision for the role is to research and present relevant opportunities for jobs/training/internships/research to the GYLA community as we embrace future brighter economic prospects!

My name is Magero Faith Kadogo.

I am a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and technology and an AiduAlumni of the year 2018. I am delighted to have been selected to volunteer as the GYLA Kenya Live Feed Coordinator. My vision is to create a space where I seek to inspire people in becoming the best versions of themselves. Whether it is through motivational quotes, poems and stories or through forum discussions on many interesting empowering conversations. I also intend to see our family grow and to have each new member feel welcomed to be part of this amazing family. Looking forward to working with all of you.

Meet the GYLA Kenya Western Region Coordinators 2020/2021!

My name is Serah Kyalo.

I am a student at Maseno University, and an AiduAlumni of the year 2018. I am so grateful for having been selected to serve as the GYLA Kenya Western Region Coordinator 1.

My vision for the role is to mobilize AiduAlumni in the Western region and make them more active on GYLA activities, to promote GYLA to Western region members and create an enabling environment where AiduTalents from Western region can present their ideas, discuss and access any available benefits.

My name is Mica Nyamwega.

I am a student at Kenyatta University and an AiduAlumni of the year 2017. I am honored to have been selected to volunteer in the role of GYLA Kenya Western Region Coordinator 2 and my vision as a coordinator is to invigorate cohesiveness and unity in the GYLA Kenya Western community and at large the entire Kenyan GYLA Network.

My name is David Favour Mutuma.

I am a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and an AiduAlumni of the year 2017. I am excited to have been shortlisted to volunteer in the role of GYLA Kenya Coast Region Coordinator and my vision for the role is as following: To ensure a close-knit GYLA family. All inclusive. Each and every member of this family having the chance to learn and benefit from each other. This can be achieved by well-coordinated and informed members. Not only to build up the Coastal region but the entire GYLA community. Ultimately, to serve, impact and grow each other.

Meet the GYLA Kenya Nairobi Region Coordinator 2020/2021!

I am Kelvin Mbai Francis.

A Bachelors of Veterinary Medicine student in the University of Nairobi, and AiduAlumni class of 2017.  I feel so humbled to have been selected to serve as the GYLA Kenya Nairobi Region Coordinator. It is such an honor and I believe we will redefine the alumni activities and events in Nairobi towards unity, participation and inclusivity. I am looking forward to organize many re-unions and get together galas for our AiduAlumni in Nairobi.
