Clean water is something many of us take for granted. But for billions of people around the world, access to safe drinking water remains a daily struggle. Aisha Sadi, a young entrepreneur from Kenya, is on a mission to change that. Through her company, Ayshah Clean Water Limited, she is tackling the global challenge of contaminated drinking water, one community at a time.
Aishaโs journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to provide clean, affordable water to rural and disaster-affected communities in Kenya. These areas often lack access to piped water, and bottled water is too expensive for most families. Recognizing this gap, Aisha decided to take action.
In 2022, Aishaโs hard work and dedication paid off when she was selected as one of Aiducation Internationalโs 1000 Young Entrepreneurs Startup Fund award winners, sponsored by Swiss Re. This recognition came with a grant of USD 4,639, which Aisha used to turn her dream into reality.

With the funding, Aisha took three critical steps:

These steps have already made a significant impact. Families who once struggled to find clean water now have access to safe, affordable drinking water. Aishaโs work is not just about providing water; itโs about improving health, saving lives, and giving hope to underserved communities.

What sets Ayshah Clean Water apart is its focus on simplicity, affordability, and accessibility. Aisha understands the needs of the communities she serves and ensures her solutions are practical and sustainable. By setting up water refilling stations in informal settlements, she brings clean water closer to peopleโs homes, eliminating the need for long, exhausting trips to distant water sources.
Aishaโs vision doesnโt stop here. She plans to expand her impact by establishing ten water refilling stations in rural and informal settlement areas of Mombasa by the end of this year. Her goal is to reach as many people as possible, ensuring that no one has to drink contaminated water.
