According to the great British Statesman, Winston S. Churchill - “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” The average voter in the 5 chapters spoke on April, 21st-23rd and today, we are honored to have been entrusted with this historic responsibility to give you the result of the five-minute conversation with the average voter.
Before we pronounce the result of the Presidential election, we wish to remind you of the results management path in accordance with the guidelines and values of GYLA & Aiducation in general. The Election guidelines are provided on the FAQ’s document on the GYLA platform. Like every election, we are always going to be challenged in the quest to deliver a free, fair, and credible election. We are proud that we overcame them. This provides lessons that we believe will shape future elections and GYLA in general.
Also, Allow me to express our deepest gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the Presidential election. First and foremost, to the GYLA Aidutalents across all the chapters - our number one stakeholder. The Election Council; Ms. Rodeanne D. Vallo, Ms. Annastasia Kulah, Ms. Jane Namara, and Mr. Ebenezer Mlay. These leaders worked on the clock and with the required flexibility to see through a smooth electoral process. To the candidates for their resilience and cooperation in what has been an intense period.
In this regard fellow Aidutalents, by the powers vested in me allow me now to provide you in total humility with the final tally of the presidential election results:
Having fulfilled the requirements by the GYLA Election guideline, I, therefore, wish to declare Mr. Boniface Mahulo as the President-Elect.
Thank you. God Bless GYLA. God bless Aiducation.
