๐Ÿ† Meet our Winners

1. Beatrice Njeri โ€“ MobyLocs

Innovation: Turning waste into wearable art
MobyLocs addresses two critical issues simultaneously; synthetic hair waste and African hair aesthetics. By repurposing discarded synthetic hair into eco-friendly, Afrocentric dreadlocks, Beatrice is creating a sustainable fashion revolution. Her solution not only reduces environmental pollution but also celebrates cultural identity through stylish, planet-conscious hair alternatives.

2. Oliver Omondi โ€“ Zuri Packs

Innovation:
Giving banana waste a second life
Zuri Packs is revolutionizing packaging with its eco-friendly, reusable, and biodegradable materials made from banana crop waste. Oliver's innovation provides an ingenious solution to both agricultural waste management and plastic pollution, offering businesses sustainable packaging that returns to the earth harmlessly.

3. Risper Akhwale โ€“ Mazao Extra Ltd

Innovation: Closing the agricultural loop
Mazao Extra Ltd demonstrates the power of circular economy principles by transforming rabbit waste and plant extracts into bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, and organic fungicides. Risper's venture helps farmers boost yields naturally while reducing reliance on harmful chemicals, creating healthier soils and more sustainable food systems.

๐ŸŽ‰ Celebrating Success in Zurich
Following the winners' announcement, Aiducation team gathered with the UBS partners, jury members, and mentors for a celebratory lunch in Zurich. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Reflect on the transformative potential of these innovations
  • Strengthen our shared commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs.
  • Discuss strategies for scaling impact across different sectors
  • Enjoy inspiring conversations about the future of sustainable business

We extend our deepest gratitude to all partners, jury members, and mentors who made this program possible. To Beatrice, Oliver, and Risper, your work inspires us all! We can't wait to see how your ventures grow and create lasting impact across Kenya and beyond.
