
From Dream to Reality: Aiducation’s 16th Anniversary Celebration of Empowering Dreams and Achieving Milestones.
Aiducation International Kenya recently celebrated its 16th anniversary in a grand event on the 6th of April 2023 at Phoenicia Hotel, Kiambu. The celebration brought together alumni from across the country, both physically and online via Zoom. It was an opportunity for the organization to showcase and celebrate its growth and impact over the years. Aiducation has awarded over 2500 High School Scholarships since its foundation in 2007.

The event featured notable speakers, including former CEO George Jilani, who highlighted the progress Aiducation has made since moving its offices to Nairobi from Watamu. He also introduced the new Aiducation International Kenya CEO, Harriet Were, and the Board members. Harriet introduced the various departments and team members, talked about recent developments such as the new Aiducation scholarship recruitment process and local partnerships, and shared the organization’s outlook for 2023.
Matthias Meier, CEO Aiducation International (Umbrella), gave an insightful talk on the Aiducation Impact Circle/Theory of change. He also invited alumni to speak about their experience with various models implemented by Aiducation, including Emmanuel Njenga, who shared how the scholarship program has helped him achieve his academic goals. George Omiro, Faith Magero, and George Sanga represented the mentorship and coaching programs, while Ruth Muchiri and Derrick Otieno represented employability and entrepreneurship programs respectively. Gift Kiti talked about the alumni network and the culture of giving back.

Matthias Meier also talked about the moral contract by Aiducation alumni to strengthen the culture of giving back, alumni update from impact studies, the buddy system concept, local partnership/ Ambassador concept and Aiducation’s recent recognition by World Finance Magazine as the most innovative company in the education industry.
Boniface Mahulo outlined upcoming alumni programs in Kenya, including Career Fairs, job shadowing programs, and the global GYLA network.
Overall, the event was a testament to Aiducation’s commitment to providing access to quality education and mentorship to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds. Through the various programs, the organization is changing lives and making a positive impact in the community.
